About Me

Hello! I'm Libby Lyon, a mental health freelance writer and blogger based north of Boston, MA. With a graduate degree in clinical psychology, my career has been dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and their families navigate the complexities of trauma and emotional well-being. I specialize in general mental health diagnostics, traumatic-event processing, and evidence-based interventions, drawing on over fifteen years of clinical experience, primarily within the state system.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to supporting individuals affected by mental illness. My approach is grounded in the principals of evidence-based, trauma-informed care, ensuring that every interaction and intervention is sensitive, empathetic, and tailored to the unique needs of those I work with. I have a particular interest in Narrative Therapy and its profound impact on trauma healing, especially among adolescents and young adults. I believe that by helping individuals tell their stories, we can unlock pathways to healing and personal growth.

We Write to Feel to Heal!

In addition to my professional work, I enjoy spending time on the water, paddle boarding and swimming whenever I can; I adore the ocean! I love the dramatic arts, particularly theater, as well as music and playing the ukulele. I am an avid reader, always eager to dive into a new book or story. Through my writing, I aim to share my knowledge and experience, offering resources and support to those on their healing journey.

Thank you for visiting my site; please check out my blog Write to Feel to Heal (W2F2H) as well! I look forward to connecting with you!
